Welcome To Sha-ma Town 2010

PLOT: Shama is a fictional place in northwestern China. Legend has it robbers hide many treasures there. To improve the life of the villiages, Tang Gaopeng, the town head, decides to promote Shama as a robber-themed resort. He collects some old items from the villiagers and takes them to an antique TV show. To his surprise, the show does not attract any tourist; however it does attract a group of illegal dealers.

PLOT: Sometimes it’s hard to cross language barriers. Take, for instance, the YouTube trailer for director Xu Bin’s “The Frightening Night”. Truth be told, I couldn’t tell you anything about the story or the characters — I know next to nothing about either one. However, the collection of tantalizing images contained within the clip you’re about to watch has worked its magic on a purely visceral level. All I know for sure is this: Attractive people, in varying degrees of undress, are being stalked and murdered one by one. Oh, and there might be some sort of supernatural entity pulling the strings. Beyond that, I’m clueless. As soon as more information bubbles to the surface, I’ll be all over it. As it stands, “The Frightening Night” is set to scare the pants off of Chinese movie-goers on April 2nd, 2011. aka Ye Jing Hun

My Father is a Hero 1995

PLOT: The amazing Jet Li plays a cop whose job keeps him from attending his son's junior kung fu competitions. The Enforcer is a classic Hong Kong blend of dazzling kung fu action and outrageously sentimental subplots. Yet as silly as some situations may seem (and let's be honest, they aren't any more ridiculous than your average Sly Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger movie), they're never boring, and when the spectacular fights begin it doesn't matter--Jet Li's stunning skill and natural charisma make him magnetic. Anita Mui, costarring as a police detective tracking Li down, gets to do her share of fighting as well. In the finale, father and son team up for a battle as funny as it is spectacular.

He now spends his time chasing two jealous women. When one of them is dying, the Joker goes back in time in an attempt to save her.

My Own Swordman 2011

PLOT: The My Own Swordsman film follows the people of Tong Fu Inn – owner Tong Xiang Yu (Yan Ni), temperamental waiter/daughter of powerful martial artist Guo Fu Rong (Yao Chen), thief-turned-waiter Bai Zhang Tang (Sha Yi), and restaurant accountant/wordplay master Lu Xiu Cai (Yu En Tai). Their troubles first begin when Fu Rong unleashes martial arts fury on a fleeing former government official. After nearly dying at the hands of the incompetent restaurant staff, the official stays in the town and enacts a complex real estate scam that would drive up home prices based on speculation.
